Noise Measurements

EAgroup provides a wide range of noise measuring equipment that covers the latest international standards, designed to allow users to meet the demands of regulations, standards and guidelines.

Suitable products and services for each application are presented below. For any special requirement, feel free to contact us!

Sound level meters

We provide instruments from well-established manufacturers unilaterally recognized for their quality products and their excellence; Norsonic from Norway and Cirrus Research from England.

All instruments meet IEC 61672 standards; Class 1 or Class 2 and are provided with individual calibration certificates upon purchase. They are also fully compliant with IEC 60651, IEC 60804, IEC 61260, ANSI S1.4, ANSI S1.11, ANSI S1.43, DIN 45657

Multi channel systems are also provided: 2ch Nor150 and up to 32ch Nor850H.

Noise dosimeters

Noise dosimeter is a specialized sound level meter intended specifically to measure the noise exposure of a person integrated over a period of time; usually to comply with Health and Safety regulations such as EU Directive 2003/10/EC. All the instruments we provide fulfill IEC 61252 standard.

Noise Monitoring Stations

EAgroup provides a range of Permanent and Portable Noise Monitors, Sound Level Meters and Noise Measurement systems that can be used for the measurement and monitoring of environmental noise, from stand-alone Noise Monitoring Terminals (NMT) with local or remote access, to large scaled hosted systems with several NMTs fully automated which deliver daily reports with data to the customer.

Noise monitoring equipment is used across a wide range of applications and locations. Our people from EAgroup guarantee that each of these systems has been designed to meet the exact needs of the user by combining noise monitors with a software and support package.

The noise measurement equipment can be connected to a range of software and via a range of communications options. Weather and Vibration measurement can also be incorporated into the noise measurements.

If you have any questions or if you would like more advice in selecting an appropriate instrument for your application, please contact us and we will be pleased to help.

Sound Intensity Probes

Measurements of Sound Power are more accurate and easier to be done using special probes consisted of two phase-matched microphones which allow to measure the physical unit of sound intensity along with the sound pressure at each point. EAgroup provides Nor1290 Sound intensity probe for all types of sound intensity measurements; complies to ISO 15186, ISO 9614, IEC 61043 sound power measuring standards.

Sound Intensity probes also provide precise information for sound leakage quantification, whereas Acoustic Cameras (popular because of their intuitive use) only provide sound leakage identification.

Acoustic Cameras

Acoustic beamforming arrays, commonly known as Acoustic Cameras, enable the user to visualize different sound sources at different frequencies and source strengths. The resolution and ability to resolve sound sources spaced closely apart, and at lower frequencies, is mainly decided by overall size and number of microphones of the equipment being used.

Eagroup provides Norsonic’s module-based approach to acoustic camera that gives the user both portability and great resolution for a wide range of measurement situations. The array dish of Nor848B Acoustic Camera is based on a hexagon shape which allow for several tiles to combine into larger systems.

Nor848B Acoustic Camera, using one Hextile, is small, lightweight, and portable. When using interconnected hextiles, the instrument delivers excellent resolution and the ability to go low in frequency. Hence it gives the user both portability and great resolution for a wide range of measurement situations.

Wind Turbine Sound Power Measurements

Measurement of noise emission from Wind Turbines according to the current applicable standards is linked to formidable challenges, especially for the installation of testing equipment and evaluation of data. We provide RoBin measuring system, from Woelfel, which provides a complete and coherent hardware and software package, which implements the measurement conforming to standards comfortably and efficiently.

The main component of RoBin is a weatherproof sound level meter / monitoring station (DUO smart noise monitor) which detects noise by means of a double shielded outside microphone. A flexibly applicable data logger with 6 freely configurable analog inputs, a USB- and a field bus access undertakes the task of detecting the operation data of the wind turbine. Meteorological data are detected by sensors of meteorology which are consistent with the demanded class of accuracy. Transmission of data is carried out wirelessly.

A radio remote control tags the measurement status (operating and background noise) and marks disturbing noise. Wind bin administration is done automatically in real time. You can comfortably monitor the measurement via tablet PC – where required this is possible for several wind turbines at the same time.

Evaluation of data in the office is performed by the established noise emission software “Noisy” with its option RoBin. In a clearly arranged evaluation mask you can select the appropriate options and start the evaluation at the push of a button. Our automatic report generator makes the process extremely efficient.

Advantages of RoBin:

No measurement cables:
Wireless transfer of meteorology data, operation data of wind   turbine and microphone data over a self-sustaining WiFi-network

Handy:
Standard accessory comes in feasible and handy portable toolboxes

Flexible:
Digital, analog and software interfaces to detect operating data of turbines from different OEMs

Clearly arranged:
Online evaluation together with a display of the current progress of measurement

Calibratable:
Sound recording by a class 1 sound-level meter

Exact:
Remote control to tag disturbing noise

Ready to use:
All components are complete and are ideally coordinated
